Modern garage doors are no longer limited to traditional steel or wood designs. With advancements in glass technology, homeowners and businesses can now enjoy garage doors that combine contemporary design with adjustable privacy.
Clopay’s C-Power™ technology introduces a unique feature: glass panels that transition from clear to opaque with the press of a button.
What Is Clopay C-Power?
C-Power is an integrated power-delivery technology developed by Clopay. Its Click-to-Conceal™ glass panels allow users to change the appearance of their garage door without opening or closing it.
In clear mode, the glass allows natural light and outdoor views. In opaque mode, the panels obscure visibility into the garage while still allowing diffused light.
This provides flexibility that traditional clear or permanently frosted glass cannot offer.

A short demonstration is one of the easiest ways to understand the technology. Viewers can see the glass transition between transparent and opaque without changing the door’s position.
How Does C-Power Work?
Unlike conventional glass garage doors, C-Power-equipped doors contain an integrated electrical system that delivers power to the glass panels.
The system uses concealed wiring and a wireless remote to control the transition.
The technology is designed to operate as part of the garage door assembly while preserving the appearance of the aluminum frame.
Where Can C-Power Garage Doors Be Used?
- Residential Garages: Homeowners can enjoy natural lighting during the day and additional privacy when desired.
- Home Gyms and Offices: Garages converted into flexible spaces can benefit from adjustable visibility.
- Commercial Showrooms: Businesses can showcase products during operating hours and obscure interior views afterward.
- Restaurants and Retail Spaces: Full-view overhead doors can provide an indoor-outdoor atmosphere with additional privacy options.

Is C-Power Right for Your Property?
